Starting Lineup

Hélton · Alex Pinho · Henrique · Samir · Kléber · Ibson · Zizinho · Bismarck · R. Miranda · Waldo · Vini Jr.

Flamengo aims to dominate matches through high intensity and verticality in a 3-4-3 formation. This lineup is built to win the ball back high up the pitch and move toward the opposition goal with speed. The team relies on rapid transitions to catch opponents out of position before they can settle.

Hélton operates between the posts to organize the defensive unit. The back line uses a back three consisting of Samir, Alex Pinho, and Henrique. Samir acts as the left centre-back while Henrique holds the right side, leaving Alex Pinho to command the middle. The defenders work to stay compact and can step up to trigger a press or drop back to protect the space behind them.

A double pivot forms the base of the midfield with Kléber and Ibson. Kléber works to shield the defence and win the second ball, while Ibson provides stability and helps recycle possession. Ahead of them, Zizinho and Bismarck operate as two tens in the half-spaces. Bismarck and Zizinho are tasked to connect the defensive and attacking lines by finding pockets of space between the opposition midfield and defence.

The attack features three players across the front to stretch the defence. Vini Jr. plays as an inverted winger on the left, looking to cut inside and take on defenders with his dribbling style. R. Miranda provides width on the right wing to spread the play. Waldo acts as the central striker to lead the line and hold up the ball, allowing the wingers and attacking midfielders to make runs in behind.

Flamengo possesses the ability to create wide overloads when the wingers and midfielders combine. The formation allows for high pressing in coordinated waves to force errors near the opponent goal. By using the two tens, the team can achieve numerical superiority in the central areas to bypass the midfield.

This 3-4-3 formation is designed for teams that want to play with high aggression and rapid movement. It is best suited for matches against opponents that play with a high line and can be broken with quick vertical passes.
