Okan Kocuk stays between the posts to organize the defensive unit. The back line functions as a back three with Nicolaisen acting as the central man. Satka covers the right side of the defense while Van Drongelen occupies the left. These defenders aim to hold a high line to compress the space in the middle of the park. They must be ready to step up and play out from the back or sweep behind the line if the opposition plays long balls.

The midfield operates with a double pivot consisting of Mehmet Aydın and Logi Tomasson. These two players work to shield the defense and win the second ball in the center. Mehmet Aydın focuses on protecting the back three, while Logi Tomasson helps to connect the defensive and attacking lines. In front of them, Tiago Dantas/Vite and Bennasser play as two attacking tens in the half-spaces. They look to receive the ball on the half-turn and play through the lines to reach the final third.

Samsunspor utilizes three attackers to pin the last defender and create constant movement. Tim Lemperle acts as the central striker to hold up the ball and link with his teammates.
