The midfield operates with a five man engine to control the center of the pitch. NARDONI and SANCHEZ form a central pair to shield the defense and win the second ball. NARDONI works to drive forward with the ball and connect the lines, while SANCHEZ provides stability and works to pick up runners. ROJAS and MARTIRENA act as wing backs to provide width, with ROJAS covering the left flank and MARTIRENA stretching the defense on the right. VIETTO plays as an attacking ten behind the strikers to link play and arrive late into the box.
