Trabzonspor aims to win the ball back high up the pitch and defend in a compact block. Savić acts as a driver to carry the ball forward, while Batagov looks to recycle possession. On the flanks, Musti and Arif play as wide midfielders who tuck in to help the central block. They work to squeeze the space in the middle and prevent the opposition from playing through the lines.

The attacking phase focuses on Onuralp, who operates as a lone pressing centre forward. He must hold up the ball to allow the midfield to push up. The team builds attacks through the wide players, where Nwakaeme and Zubkov can push up to overlap the winger. When Trabzonspor breaks quickly, Onuralp looks to run in behind or hold the ball for Musti and Arif to arrive late into the box.
