Starting Lineup

PSG looks to play a direct and aggressive brand of football using a 5-2-3 formation. This lineup is built to sit in a mid-block and hit opponents on the break with high speed. The team seeks to win the ball in central areas and quickly move it to the wide players to stretch the opposition.

Riley acts as the last line of defense behind a back five. Zack sits in the center of the defensive unit to organize the line and win the second ball. Mini and Tekky operate as wide centre-backs, allowing them to cover the spaces behind the wing backs when they push forward. Fergal plays as a left wing back to provide width on the flank, while Cillian works as the right wing back to overlap the attacker. This defensive unit is designed to stay compact and force the opposition wide.

The midfield relies on a two-man central pairing to control the middle of the pitch. Ziko and Eerie operate as a double pivot to shield the defensive line and recycle possession. Ziko works to connect the defense to the attack by carrying the ball forward, while Eerie stays more central to deny the turn of opposing attackers. They must work hard to press in a mid-block and pick up runners before they can turn toward the goal.

In the final third, PSG utilizes three attackers to pin the last defender. Jmz acts as the lone striker, holding up the ball to bring others into play. Jack plays as an inverted winger on the left to cut inside and create chances, while Sunlord stays wide on the right to provide service. This attacking trio focuses on quick combinations and making runs in behind the defense to exploit the transition.

This formation offers great tactical advantages through its ability to defend in a narrow block and then spring forward with pace. The presence of Fergal and Cillian allows for wide overloads once the team wins the ball back high up the pitch. By using the wide centre-backs, the team also maintains stability during defensive transitions.
