Sloboda Tuzla looks to remain defensively solid through a 5-4-1 formation. This lineup is built to sit deep and absorb pressure before hitting teams on the transition. POTURALIĆ guards the goal while a back five maintains a narrow defensive block. DELIĆ acts as the central anchor to win the second ball and organize the line. KURTALIĆ and BEGANOVIĆ U21 operate as the two central defenders tasked to clear the lines and cover the space behind the wing backs. OSMIĆ U21 and HUSIĆ act as attacking wing backs to provide width, but they must track back quickly to form a back five when the opposition has the ball. The midfield operates in a flat four to protect the central zone. PURAČ U21 and RAŠEVIĆ form the central pairing to shield the defense and recycle possession. JAGANJAC and HUSEJNOVIĆ U21 occupy the wide roles to track back and support the wing backs. The midfield unit is designed to compress the midfield and win it back high up the pitch whenever possible. These players look to intercept passes and quickly find the forward to start a break.

MUMINOVIĆ leads the line as a lone striker. His main role is to hold up the ball and allow the midfielders to move up the pitch. He must work to pin the last defender and create space for the wide midfielders to join the attack. The attacking movement relies on the wing backs, OSMIĆ U21 and HUSIĆ, to provide width and deliver crosses into the box. Sloboda Tuzla relies on these quick combinations to exploit gaps when the opposition pushes too far forward.

This formation offers great compactness when defending in a mid-block. The primary advantage is the ability to defend the central areas with a heavy numbers advantage. Sloboda Tuzla can also use the speed of transition to catch opponents out once the ball is won. By having five defenders, the team is well prepared to deal with crosses and direct play.
