Starting Lineup

Cyrus Margono · Julio Cesar · Kakang · Frans Putros · A. Dewangga · Marc Klok · Luciano · William Marcilio · Berguinho · Barros · Saddil Ramdani

Persib looks to dominate through high pressing and quick transitions in a 4-3-3. This formation is built to win the ball high up the pitch and move forward with pace to punish the opponent. The lineup focuses on heavy pressure to force mistakes in the opposition half.

Cyrus Margono stays between the posts to organize the back line. The defense operates as a flat back four where Kakang acts as the right back to provide width. A. Dewangga plays as the left back, often looking to push up the flank. In the center, Julio Cesar and Frans Putros form the main pairing, with Julio Cesar focusing on aerial strength and Frans Putros covering space. This unit works to squeeze the space and step up to set the offside trap.

The midfield functions as a three-man midfield with a carrier and a creative presence. Marc Klok sits in the central role to shield the defense and recycle possession. Luciano operates alongside him to connect the defensive and attacking lines, often making runs to support the play. William Marcilio plays as the attacking ten behind the striker, tasked to find the feet of the striker or play through the lines. This group works to compress the midfield and win the second ball.

Up front, Persib uses three attackers to stretch the defence. Berguinho and Saddil Ramdani act as wide wingers who hug the touchline to provide width. Berguinho looks to cut inside to create chances, while Saddil Ramdani aims to isolate a one-on-one wide. Barros plays as a lone striker, acting as a target man to hold up the ball and allow others to join the attack. They press from the front to force a long ball from the opposition.

One major advantage for Persib is the ability to press high in coordinated waves, using the front three to trigger a press. They also create wide overloads when the full backs push up to overlap the winger. This setup creates a lot of pressure in the final third.

This 4-3-3 formation relies on high intensity and quick vertical movement. It is best suited for games against teams that struggle to play out from the back under pressure.
