Annecy plays with a high press and a direct style of football using a 3-5-2 formation. This lineup looks to win the ball high up the pitch to catch the opposition out of position. The goal is to use a compact midfield and two strikers to create chaos in the final third.

Кочергин starts in goal to organize the defensive unit. The back three consists of Чепа, Мартыченко, and Здоренко. Мартыченко and Здоренко act as wide centre-backs to cover the flanks when the wingbacks push forward. Чепа holds the middle to act as a dominant force in the air and sweep behind the line. The defensive unit stays close together to keep a narrow defensive block when the opponent has the ball.

The midfield operates as a five man unit with a single pivot. Миколаюк acts as the defensive anchor to shield the back three and intercept passes. He provides a platform for Чеба and Сушков to operate. Чеба and Сушков act as inverted eights who drive forward with the ball to connect the lines. To add more numbers in the attacking phase, Лысенко and Ильяс push up as attacking midfielders to support the strike duo.

The attacking line uses two forwards in a partnership. Лукашук and Криль work together to press the opposition back line. They often play on the shoulder of the last defender to make runs in behind. The team builds attacks by using the width provided by the midfielders and looking to find the feet of the striker. When the ball moves wide, the forwards look to combine in tight spaces to create chances.

This formation offers Annecy significant tactical advantages. The midfield can create numerical superiority in the center of the pitch when Лысенко and Ильяс step up. The wide presence of the midfielders allows the team to stretch the defence and create overloads. This setup makes it very difficult for opponents to play through the middle without facing a heavy press.

Annecy relies on a high intensity to disrupt the opponent and win the ball quickly. This 3-5-2 formation is best suited for games where the team wants to control the central areas and hit the opposition on the transition.
