This lineup is built to strike quickly through the channels and use high numbers in the final third to overwhelm the opposition. The goal is to win the ball and immediately push the ball forward to exploit space behind the defensive line.

F. Muslera acts as the last line of defense, providing security between the posts. The back line operates as a flat back four, with E. Meza at right back and M. López at left back. Both wide defenders are tasked to hold their position to prevent being caught out when the team pushes high. In the center, S. Núñez and A. Rogel function as the central defensive pairing, with Rogel providing aerial strength to defend set pieces. This unit works to defend zonally and maintain a high line to squeeze the space in the middle of the pitch.

The midfield is organized as a double pivot, consisting of S. Hezze and S. Ascacíbar. S. Ascacíbar works to shield the defense, acting as the primary breaker of opposition play. S. Hezze is tasked to carry the ball forward and connect the defensive line to the attacking unit. These two must work hard to cover the gaps left by the advanced attackers and ensure they do not get bypassed in central areas. They serve as the engine room, recycling possession and looking to play through the lines to find the forwards.

The attacking unit is composed of three forwards and two center forwards to maintain constant pressure. F. Farías and T. Palacios occupy the wide areas, with Farías acting as an inverted winger to cut inside and Palacios to spread the width. In the center, C. Medina and G. Carrillo operate as a striking partnership. They work to pin the last defender and use their movement to create runs in behind. This front four focuses on pressing from the front to force a long ball from the opposition.

Estudiantes (LP) gains a clear advantage through their ability to create numerical superiority in the final third. By using four attackers, they can isolate wide players in one on one situations or create overloads against a back four. The speed of transition is a major strength, as the double pivot can quickly find the front four once the ball is won. This allows the team to attack with great pace before the opposition can get organized.
