Tobe operates between the posts to anchor the defense. The back line consists of a flat back four where Oscar plays as the right back and Takahiro acts as the left back. Ewoud and Matei form the central pairing, tasked with defending zonally and covering the space behind the full backs when they push forward. Oscar and Takahiro are expected to provide width and overlap the wide attackers, while Ewoud and Matei must remain compact to prevent through balls.

In the center of the pitch, Lynnt and Siebe function as a double pivot. This midfield pairing is responsible for shielding the back four and winning the second ball. Lynnt and Siebe must work to compress the midfield area and intercept passes to prevent the opposition from building play. They serve as the primary link, receiving the ball from the defenders and playing through the lines to reach the front four.

The attacking unit is extremely potent with four players positioned high up the pitch. Thiebaud and Wiliam operate as wide wingers, stretching the defence by hugging the touchline to create space in the middle. In the central zone, Youssef and Chukwubuikem act as a strike partnership. Youssef and Chukwubuikem can work in combinations to hold up the ball or make runs in behind the defenders. The wingers, Thiebaud and Wiliam, often cut inside to create shooting opportunities or deliver crosses into the box for the two central forwards.

One major advantage for OH Leuven is the ability to press high in coordinated waves, using the front four to trigger a press. This creates immediate pressure on the opposition goalkeeper and defenders. Another strength is the threat during transitions, as the team can quickly move the ball from the double pivot to the wide areas to isolate defenders in one on one situations.
