Gavi and Thuram play in the advanced half-spaces to create passing lanes into the attack. In the attacking third, Juventus uses three attackers to pin the opposition back line. David acts as the central presence to hold up the ball and link play, while Yildiz and Sancho occupy the wide areas to stretch the defence. Yildiz and Sancho often cut inside to create central overloads or to shoot. The goal is to use the movement of David to create runs in behind for the wide players or to allow Gavi and Thuram to arrive late into the box.
