Platense seeks to control the pitch through a high press and direct attacking movements in a 3-4-3 formation. This lineup aims to squeeze the space in the opposition half and win the ball high up the pitch to catch the opponent out of position. The goal is to use aggressive pressing to force a long ball and then quickly transition into wide areas to stretch the defence.

Alvaredo acts as the last line of defence while the back three maintains a high line to keep the team compact. Mariano sits in the center to command the area, while Luciano and Andino operate as wide centre-backs to cover the space behind the midfield. Luciano provides lateral cover to handle wide runners, whereas Andino remains ready to step up and intercept passes. This unit works together to maintain a high line and trigger a press when the ball enters their zone.

The midfield operates with three central players to control the center of the pitch. Rojas and Vence act as the engine, with Rojas working to win the second ball and Vence looking to carry the ball forward into the final third. Ingrassia connects the defensive line to the attack, often dropping deep to receive play from the centre-backs. J. plays as an attacking ten, operating in the pockets to find space between the lines and provide the final pass. This three-man midfield allows Platense to dominate the central area and recycle possession quickly.

In the attacking third, the team uses three forwards to pin the last defender. Masa acts as the lone striker, tasked to hold up the ball and wait for support from the runners. Bórquez and Vanoli play as wide attackers, with Bórquez cutting inside to create central overloads and Vanoli stretching the pitch by staying wide. These attackers press from the front to disrupt the opposition build up, looking to exploit the space created by the movement of J. in the hole.

Platense finds success through numerical superiority in the central midfield and the ability to create wide overloads. The movement of the wide attackers combined with the late runs of J. creates constant pressure on the opposition back line. This formation also allows for rapid transitions, as the high positioning of the wide centre-backs and the midfield ensures the team can recover the ball and attack quickly.

This 3-4-3 formation is built for a team that wants to dominate through aggression and central control. It is best suited for games where the opponent tries to play out from the back and can be forced into mistakes.
