NEVES acts as the deep lying playmaker, using his passing range to move the ball forward and find teammates in advanced positions. N. AL DAWSARI plays alongside him to connect the defensive and attacking lines, often pressing aggressively to win the ball back in a mid block. Together, they must cover large amounts of ground to shield the defense and recycle possession when the attack stalls.

Al-Hilal utilizes two forwards in a partnership to pin the opposition center backs. MILINKOVIC SAVIC and M. LEONARDO work together to hold up the ball and provide a central presence in the box. They are supported by wide attackers S. AL DAWSARI and MALCOM, who act as inverted wingers to cut inside and create goal scoring chances.
