In the middle of the pitch, J. Castillo and Gaibor work as a double pivot. This pairing is responsible for shielding the defense and connecting the back four to the attack. J. Castillo often drops deep to receive the ball and play through the lines, while Gaibor moves into the half-spaces to drive forward with the ball. They must be ready to track back and protect the center if the opposition breaks through the middle.

The front four creates constant movement to disrupt the opposition. E. Castillo and Quevedo act as wide wingers, with E. Castillo looking to cut inside and Quevedo to spread wide and pull defenders away. Ceppelini and Agustín Rodríguez lead the line as a two-man forward partnership. Ceppelini uses his passing range to link up play between the lines, while Agustín Rodríguez works to run in behind the defense. The goal is to create chances through quick combinations in the box.
