In the attacking phase, Hyderabad utilizes two forwards in a partnership. A. Vishal and Dharmik work together to lead the line, with one player often acting to hold up the ball while the other looks to make runs in behind. The wing backs, Rishwan and Varshan, provide constant width to stretch the defence, allowing the two strikers to find space in the channels. The team attacks in transition, looking to hit in behind on the transition as soon as the midfield regains control.

One major advantage for Hyderabad is the ability to use wide overloads from the overlapping wing backs, creating situations where the wide attackers have extra support. The formation also provides great compactness when defending, making it very difficult for opponents to play through the middle. By sitting deep and squeezing the space, they can force a long ball and rely on Vishal to win the header.
