Celta plays a high press game built around a 3-4-3 formation. The lineup aims to win the ball high up the pitch and use rapid transitions to catch opponents out of position. This system is designed to squeeze the space in the middle of the pitch and create many attacking combinations through the half spaces.

Radu/villar starts in goal to organize the back line. The defense functions as a back three where CarL acts as the central defender to hold the line. Marcos/Carlos operates as the left centre back while Javi/aidoo plays as the right centre back. This trio must stay compact to defend zonally and prevent runners from getting behind. When the team builds from the back, the defenders look to play short from the back to move the ball into the midfield.

The midfield features a three man midfield with a carrier and a dedicated defensive presence. Carrete/Rueda/ming sits in the deep position to shield the defence and pick up runners. In the wider midfield roles, Manu/cervi/rístico and Moriba/sote work to connect the defensive and attacking lines. Beltrán/dami plays as an attacking ten behind the striker to provide creative passes. These players must press in a mid-block to force a long ball from the opposition.

Celta uses three attackers across the front to stretch the defence. Duran/jutgla acts as the lone striker to hold up the ball and find the feet of the attacking midfielders. Williot plays as an inverted winger on the left and Aspas/Jones works on the right to cut inside and create chances. The movement of these forwards is designed to create runs in behind and allow the midfielders to arrive late into the box.

This formation offers several tactical advantages for Celta. The presence of Beltrán/dami allows for numerical superiority in the final third when the team attacks. The compact defensive unit helps the team hold a compact shape when the opposition has possession. Using wide attackers like Williot and Aspas/Jones also helps to isolate wide players in one on one situations during the transition.

This 3-4-3 formation is built to dominate games through high pressing and quick vertical movements. It is best suited for matches where the opponent tries to play out from the back under heavy pressure.
