Velasco plays as the attacking ten behind the striker, looking to find pockets of space and deliver passes into the final third.

Merentiel operates as a lone pressing centre forward to lead the line. He works to pin the last defender and create space for the players arriving from deep. The attacking unit relies on the movement of Velasco and the late runs from Zenón and Braida to create chances. When Boca move into transition, the wingers pull wide to stretch the defence, allowing Merentiel to hold up the ball and wait for support.

This lineup offers significant strength through its ability to press in a mid-block and force a long ball from the opponent. The central presence of Paredes and Battaglia provides a solid screen that makes the team very hard to break down through the middle.
