Boca plays with a high press and vertical identity to catch opponents off guard. The team uses a 4-3-3 formation designed to win the ball high up the pitch and strike quickly. This lineup seeks to stretch the defence and use quick transitions to break the lines and attack the goal.

In goal, Brey acts as the last line of defence. The back four operates with Valentini and Aranda as the central defenders, where Valentini works to play out from the back and Aranda stays to cover. Barco and Weigandt operate as full backs, with Barco often able to push up the flank to provide width. The defensive unit works to keep a high line and squeeze the space between the lines to keep the team compact.

The midfield functions with a three man unit that connects the defence to the attack. Varela or E. Fernández sits in a deeper role to shield the centre backs and protect the pivot area. Delgado or Medina acts as a carrier to drive the ball forward and progress through the thirds. Taborda plays as an attacking ten, operating in the hole to find pockets of space and link play with the forwards. This midfield group works to press in a mid block to win the ball back early.

The attacking front line uses three players to pressure the opposition back line. Zeballos and Langoni play as wide attackers, with Zeballos staying wide to deliver crosses and Langoni looking to cut inside into the box. Vázquez or Retegui operates as the central striker to hold up the ball and pin the last defender. This formation allows the wingers to make runs in behind or receive the ball in one on one situations. The team builds attacks by moving the ball quickly to the flanks to stretch the defence.

One major advantage for Boca is the ability to create wide overloads when the full backs overlap the wingers. The midfield also offers numerical superiority in the center when Taborda moves into the half spaces. This lineup allows for great speed of transition once the ball is recovered and the team can break quickly.

This 4-3-3 formation is built for aggressive, high pressing football. It is best suited for matches where Boca can pin the opponent in their own half and attack with pace.
