AEK aims to dominate through high pressing and quick verticality in a 4-3-3. This formation is built to win the ball back high up the pitch and strike through rapid transitions. The lineup focuses on aggressive ball recovery and quick movement to stretch the opposition.

ΑΤΜΑΤΣΙΔΗΣ stands between the posts to command the area. The defensive unit operates with a flat back four, where ΜΠΟΡΜΠΟΚΗΣ acts as an attacking full back to provide width on the right. On the left, ΚΑΣΑΠΗΣ supports the flank while keeping the line compact. In the center, ΜΑΝΩΛΑΣ and ΔΕΛΛΑΣ form a strong partnership, with ΔΕΛΛΑΣ often tasked to cover the space behind the high line. They work together to defend zonally and ensure the back line stays high to squeeze the space.

The midfield relies on a three-man midfield with a carrier and a deep anchor. SAVEVSKI sits in front of the defense to shield the back four and protect the central zone. Beside him, ΠΑΠΑΙΩΑΝΝΟΥ and ΤΣΙΑΡΤΑΣ operate as inverted eights who connect the defensive and attacking lines. ΤΣΙΑΡΤΑΣ looks to carry the ball forward and drive through the lines, while ΠΑΠΑΙΩΑΝΝΟΥ works to press aggressively in a mid-block to win the second ball. This trio helps AEK maintain control of the center and recycle possession when needed.

The attack uses three attackers across the front to pin the opposition defense. ΝΕΣΤΟΡΙΔΗΣ leads the line as a pressing centre-forward who works to find the feet of his teammates and harass the center backs. On the wings, ΝΙΚΟΛΑΙΔΗΣ acts as an inverted winger on the right to cut inside and create chances, while ΜΑΥΡΟΣ operates on the left to stretch the defense. These players look to make runs in behind and combine in tight spaces to break the lines. The front three push high to force a long ball from the opposition.

A major advantage for AEK is the ability to press high in coordinated waves, making it difficult for opponents to play out from the back. The team also benefits from the speed of transition when the midfield wins the ball. By using wide players who cut inside, they create numerical superiority in the central zones during the final third.

This 4-3-3 formation provides a strong balance between defensive stability and attacking intent. It is best suited for matches against teams that struggle to play under heavy pressure or those that leave space behind their defensive line.
