Pajaziti is tasked to drive forward with the ball and press aggressively to win the ball high up the pitch. This trio works to compress the midfield and ensure Hajduk can quickly transition from a defensive block into an attacking phase.

In the final third, the team uses three attackers across the front. Livaja acts as a focal point, holding up the ball and bringing others into play. Kalik and Pukštas play as inverted wingers who cut inside to create goal scoring chances. Pukštas is noted for his technical dribbling style and ability to create openings. The wingers aim to isolate the opposition full backs to create one on one situations, while the forwards press the opposition back line to force a long ball.
