Slovan Liberec aims to play a direct and vertical style of football with a 3-4-3 formation. This lineup is built to use wide players to stretch the opposition and quickly transition from defense to attack. The tactical identity focuses on winning the ball and getting it into the final third as fast as possible to catch the opponent out of position.

Koubek sits between the posts to manage the defensive line. The back three features N’Guessan, Plechatý, and Gabriel working as a compact unit. Gabriel and Plechatý act as the wide centre-backs to cover the channels, while N’Guessan holds the center to win headers and clear the lines. This defensive unit works together to maintain a narrow block and protect the central area, forcing the opposition to play wide where they can be contained.

The midfield operates with two central players and two wide midfielders. Varfolomejev and Stránský form a central pairing to control the middle of the pitch. Varfolomejev works to shield the defense and win the second ball, while Stránský looks to carry the ball forward and connect the lines. Kayondo and Ghali play as wide midfielders who provide much of the width, tracking back to help the defenders and pushing up to support the attack.

In the attacking third, Slovan Liberec uses three forwards to pin the opposition back line. Krollis acts as the lone striker, looking to hold up the ball and find the feet of his teammates. Mašek and Masopust play as wide attackers who cut inside to create goalscoring chances. This trio works to press the opposition from the front, forcing turnovers high up the pitch and creating runs in behind the defenders.

One major strength of this Slovan Liberec lineup is the ability to create wide overloads when Kayondo and Ghali push forward alongside the wingers. The team also benefits from the speed of transition, as they can move from a defensive block to an attacking phase very quickly. This setup allows the players to occupy multiple zones and make it difficult for a back four to track all the runners.

This 3-4-3 formation is designed to overwhelm teams through quick vertical movements and wide play. It is most effective against opponents who play a high line and leave space behind their defenders.
