NK Lokomotiva prefers to play a direct and aggressive style of football using a 3-4-3 formation. This lineup is built to stretch the opposition and win the ball back high up the pitch through heavy pressure. The team looks to transition quickly once they regain possession to catch the defense out of position.

J. Posavec stays between the posts to organize the defensive line. The back three consists of M. Leovac, L. Sigali, and D. Kolinger. Leovac and Sigali act as the wide centre-backs to cover the spaces behind the midfield, while Kolinger stays central to dominate in the air and clear the lines. This unit tends to play with a high line to squeeze the space and keep the team compact.

The midfield operates with a central pairing and two wide players. I. Krolo and D. Antolić form the engine room, with Krolo often acting to shield the defence while Antolić looks to drive forward with the ball to connect the lines. M. Šitum and M. Pajač provide the width, acting as wide midfielders who help to press in a mid-block and push the opposition back. This midfield group works to win the second ball and quickly find the attackers.

NK Lokomotiva uses three attackers to pin the last defender and create chaos. N. Đurković leads the line as a pressing centre-forward to force long balls from the opposition. S. Goričan and D. V. Fernandez act as wide forwards who cut inside to create central presence and threat. The attackers look to create runs in behind or pull wide to isolate a one on one wide, using combinations to break the line.

This formation offers several tactical advantages for the club. The team can create wide overloads by having the wide midfielders and the attacking wingers work together to stretch the defence. NK Lokomotiva also benefits from the ability to press high in coordinated waves, using the front three to trigger a press that the midfield can quickly join.

This 3-4-3 formation is built for a team that wants to dominate the game through high intensity and rapid transitions. It is best suited for matches against opponents who struggle to play out from the back under pressure.
