Selangor aims to play with high intensity and a heavy emphasis on direct attacking play using a 3-3-4 formation. This lineup is built to overwhelm the opposition with numbers in the final third and a relentless press. By committing so many players forward, the team looks to win the ball high up the pitch and strike quickly before the defense can settle.

Chrigor Moraes stands between the posts to organize the defensive unit. The back line functions as a back three where Picha Autra sits as the central defender to command the area and win headers. To his sides, Zack Clough and Kevin Deeromram act as wide centre-backs to cover the channels. The defenders must hold a high line to squeeze the space and keep the opposition pinned back.

The midfield operates as a three man midfield with a carrier to bridge the gap between the defense and the attack. Quentin Cheng and Nooa Laine work to win the second ball and recycle possession to keep the pressure on. Kevin Deeromram occupies the left central midfield role to help link the play and drive forward when the ball is recovered. This trio must stay compact to prevent being bypassed during transitions.

In the attacking third, Selangor uses four forwards to pin the last defender and create chaos. Richmond Ankrah and Kalamullah lead the line as a strike partnership to provide a central presence and hold up the ball. On the flanks, Sharul Nazeem and Mohd Abualnadi act as wide wingers who want to stretch the defence. They look to cut inside or deliver crosses to the two central strikers to exploit any gaps in the opposition box.

One major advantage of this formation is the ability to press high in coordinated waves to force errors. The team also creates wide overloads because the wingers and midfielders can quickly combine to bypass the opponent. This setup provides incredible numbers in the box, making it very difficult for a back four to track every runner.

This 3-3-4 formation is designed for total aggression and high scoring games. It is best suited for situations where Selangor needs to chase a goal against a side that sits deep.
