This midfield unit works to compress the midfield and ensure the team can recycle possession effectively.

In the attacking third, the team uses three attackers to stretch the defence. J. Álvarez acts as a pressing centre-forward who works to pin the last defender and find space in the channels. Garnacho and Mastantuono operate as wide attackers, with Garnacho looking to cut inside and Mastantuono to provide width or drive toward the box. This front three works to press from the front and create runs in behind. The attack relies on the midfielders to deliver passes into the channels or find the feet of the striker to allow for quick combinations.

One major advantage of this formation is the numerical superiority in midfield, which allows the team to control the center of the pitch and win the second ball. The presence of Paz as an attacking ten creates a constant threat in the half spaces to bypass the midfield of the opponent.
