Starting Lineup

Ferencváros intends to play a high press and use rapid transitions through a 3-4-3 formation. This lineup is built to control the middle of the pitch and strike quickly once the ball is won high up the pitch. The team relies on verticality to catch opponents off guard.

Dibusz acts as the goalkeeper to start the build up from the back. A back three consists of Cisse, Gartenmann, and Szalai. Szalai operates as the left centre back while Cisse holds the middle to provide cover. Gartenmann plays as the right centre back to ensure the defensive line stays compact. The defenders stay close together to squeeze the space and prevent through balls.

The midfield functions with a central pairing of Maiga and Keita. Maiga drives forward with the ball to connect the lines while Keita provides stability. These two players must work to win the second ball and recycle possession. On the flanks, Nagy and Cadu act as wide midfielders to provide width. Nagy pushes up the left side to support the attack while Cadu works the right flank to ensure the team can shift play quickly.

The attacking unit uses three players to stretch the defence. Varga acts as the central striker to hold up the ball and pin the last defender. On the wings, Levi plays as the left winger to cut inside and create chances. Gruber operates as the right winger to provide width and deliver crosses. These attackers press from the front to force a long ball and win it back high up the pitch.

Ferencváros gains a tactical advantage through wide overloads when Nagy and Cadu push high. The formation allows for numerical superiority in the central areas when the wingers and midfielders combine. The team can also use its speed of transition to hit opponents in behind as they move forward.
