Siphesihle works to shield the defense and intercept passes, while Thabo helps to carry the ball forward and connect the defensive and attacking lines. On the flanks, Mfundo and Ethan provide the width. Mfundo plays as the right midfielder to support the attack, while Ethan operates on the left. This four man midfield works to press in a mid-block and regain possession to launch quick attacks.

Kaizer Chiefs utilize two forwards in a partnership at the front. Makabi and Flavio lead the line as the primary goal threats. Makabi often acts as the striker who holds up the ball, while Flavio looks to make runs in behind the defense. The wingers, Mfundo and Ethan, cut inside to create space for the full backs to push up. The attack relies on combination play and finding the feet of the striker to break the line.

This formation offers several tactical advantages. The team can create wide overloads by having Thabiso and Mfundo work together on the right. There is also a strong ability to win the second ball in the middle of the pitch due to the proximity of the two central midfielders.
