Beside him, Joel and Erick operate as two central midfielders, with Erick looking to carry the ball forward and Joel tasked to win the second ball. Uziel and Marcos occupy the wide areas, pressing aggressively to win the ball high up the pitch and providing the connection between the middle and the front line.

Up front, Luis/alex,omar acts as a lone striker who leads the line. This forward is tasked to press the opposition back line and hold up the ball to bring others into play. The wide players, Uziel and Marcos, do not just stay wide but often cut inside to create central presence. This creates a system where the team attacks in combinations, looking to hit in behind on the transition or find the feet of the striker through quick vertical passes.

Liverpool gains a significant advantage through their ability to press in coordinated waves, making it difficult for opponents to play out from the back. The midfield presence of Charlie, Joel, and Erick allows the team to maintain compactness when defending.
