In the middle of the pitch, Liverpool uses a midfield quartet to control the tempo. Christian plays as the single pivot to shield the defence and recycle possession. Marcos on the left and Marcos on the right act as central midfielders to drive forward with the ball and connect the defensive and attacking lines. Chino operates in the hole as an attacking ten to find pockets of space and deliver passes to the forwards.

The attacking front features two strikers working in tandem to pin the last defender. Cooper leads the line as the left striker to hold up the ball and link with the midfield, while Trevor operates as the right striker to make runs in behind. This duo works to stretch the defence by pulling centre backs out of position. They press the opposition back line together to win the ball high up the pitch and create chances through quick combinations.

A major advantage for Liverpool is the ability to press high in coordinated waves, forcing the opposition into rushed decisions. The presence of Chino allows the team to create numerical superiority in the final third when the strikers drop slightly. This setup also creates wide overloads when Joel and Uziel overlap the midfielders to provide service from the byline.
