Starting Lineup

Ugurcan · Abdulkerim · Merih · Eren (Ferdi) · Zeki · Hakan · Arda · Ismail (Kaan) · Kenan · Yunus · Baris

Türkiye looks to play a high press with a 4-3-3 formation. This lineup is built to win the ball back high up the pitch and attack with speed through the half spaces. The goal is to keep the opposition pinned in their own half and use verticality to break lines quickly.

Ugurcan stays between the posts to organize the back line. The defense operates as a flat back four where Zeki acts as a full back to provide width. Eren plays on the left side to help push the team forward. Merih and Abdulkerim form the central pairing, with Merih providing aerial strength and Abdulkerim acting as a ball playing defender to start attacks. The unit works to squeeze the space between the lines and hold a high line to keep the team compact.

The midfield functions as a three man midfield with a carrier and a deep lying playmaker. Ismail sits in front of the defense to shield the back four and intercept passes. Hakan plays as a creator from deep, using his passing range to find the attackers. Arda operates in the half spaces to drive forward with the ball and connect the lines. This group works to press aggressively to win the ball back and quickly recycle possession to the wide areas.

The attack features three attackers across the front. Baris plays as a pressing centre-forward to harass the opposition back line. Kenan and Yunus act as inverted wingers who cut inside to create chances in central areas. Kenan uses his dribbling style to beat his man before looking for a pass. These forwards look to make runs in behind or arrive late into the box. The front three work to stretch the defence and create one on one situations for the wingers.

Türkiye gains a lot from the speed of transition when winning the ball in the middle third. The formation allows for wide overloads when Zeki and Eren push up to support the attackers. Having Arda and Hakan in the middle ensures numerical superiority in midfield against many teams. This allows the team to control the tempo while still being able to break quickly.

This 4-3-3 formation is designed to dominate possession and hunt for the ball high up the pitch. It is best suited for games against teams that struggle to play out from the back under pressure.
