In the attacking third, West Ham uses three attackers to stretch the opposition. Niclas plays as a lone striker, often tasked to hold up the ball and link with the wider players. Luis and Jarrod act as wide wingers who want to cut inside and create chances. The movements are designed to create runs in behind and allow the wing backs to overlap the winger. One major advantage for West Ham is the ability to use wide overloads when Aaron and Malick push high to support the wingers.
