Hajduk relies on a high press and verticality to unsettle opponents, utilizing a 4-3-3 formation to control the tempo. This lineup is built to win the ball high up the pitch and move quickly through the lines. By staying compact and pressing in waves, the team aims to force turnovers and strike before the opposition can settle.

Ivušić operates between the posts to start the build up from the back. The defensive unit employs a flat back four where Sigur acts as a full back to provide width on the right. On the left, Diallo pushes forward to overlap the winger. In the center, Raci and Šarlija form a central pair, with Raci acting as a ball playing defender to find teammates in midfield. They must hold the line and stay tight to deny runners through the middle.

The midfield works as a three-man midfield with a single pivot to shield the back four. Pajaziti sits deep to deny the pivot of the opposition and recycle possession when needed. Alongside him, Krovinović and Pukštas operate in the half spaces to connect the defense and the attack. Pukštas uses his passing range to find forwards, while Krovinović works to carry the ball forward and press aggressively to win it back high up the pitch.

In the attacking third, Hajduk uses three attackers across the front. Livaja operates as a pressing centre-forward who can also drop deep to link up play between the lines. On the flanks, Rebić plays as an inverted winger who cuts inside to create goal scoring chances, while Durdov stays wider to stretch the defense. This combination of movements allows the team to attack in combinations, looking for runs in behind or cutbacks from the byline.

One major advantage for Hajduk is the ability to press high in coordinated waves, which disrupts the opponent's build up. The team also finds success through the ability to isolate wide players in one on one situations when the wingers pull defenders out of position. This creates space for the central midfielders to arrive late into the box.

This 4-3-3 formation provides Hajduk with a balanced way to control the center while staying dangerous on the break. It is best suited for games against teams that play a high line or struggle to play out from the back under pressure.
