Persib focuses on a high press and rapid transitions when playing a 4-3-3. This formation is built to win the ball high up the pitch and attack with speed to catch opponents out of position. The lineup relies on heavy pressing to disrupt the opposition build up and create chances through direct vertical play.

Teja sits between the posts to organize the back line. The defensive unit works as a flat back four with Kakang acting as a right back to cover the wide area. F. plays at left back to provide width and support the attack. Patricio and Julio Cesar occupy the central defensive roles, where they need to defend zonally and win the second ball. This unit works together to hold the line and ensure they do not get caught too far up the pitch when the team pushes forward.

The midfield operates with a three man midfield with a carrier and a creative presence. Adam and Marc occupy the central roles to control the tempo and protect the defence. Marc works to shield the back four while Adam drives forward with the ball to link the lines. Luciano plays as an attacking ten behind the striker to find pockets of space. He is tasked to press aggressively to win the ball high and provide the final pass. This midfield group connects the defence to the front three by recycling possession and playing through the lines.

Persib uses three attackers across the front to stretch the defence. Uiliam acts as a pressing centre forward to lead the line and hold up the ball. Sadil and Febri play as wide wingers who hug the touchline to create width. Sadil is expected to cut inside to create goal scoring opportunities while Febri looks to get to the byline and whip it in. The front three work in combinations to create runs in behind and isolate wide players in one on one situations.

This formation offers significant tactical advantages through its ability to press high in coordinated waves. Persib can also create wide overloads by using the full backs to overlap the wingers. The speed of transition allows the team to hit in behind on the transition before the opposition can recover.
