At the back, ATUBOLU acts as the goalkeeper to start the build up. The defensive unit consists of a back three where BASTONI operates as the left centre-back, using his passing range to progress the ball. GARCIA holds the right side of the central defence, while VAN HECKE provides cover in the middle. This trio works to squeeze the space and set the offside trap when the team pushes up. They must stay compact to prevent long balls from bypassing the midfield.

The midfield works in a four man block to control the center and the flanks. BARELLA and SUCIC form a central pairing where BARELLA drives forward with the ball to connect the lines. They work to win the second ball and press aggressively in a mid-block. On the edges, DUMFRIES acts as a right midfielder who provides width, while HENRIQUE plays on the left to help the defensive unit. This group works to protect the space in front of the centre-backs and recycle possession when needed.

The attacking line is built around a lone striker, LAUTARO, who leads the press from the front. He works to hold up the ball and link play with the two wide attackers. THURAM plays on the left as an inverted winger to cut inside and create goal scoring chances, while V.CARBONI operates on the right. The wingers aim to isolate defenders in one on one situations or find space to receive on the half-turn. Inter uses these combinations to attack the near post or deliver crosses from wide areas.

One major advantage for Inter is the ability to press high in coordinated waves, making it difficult for opponents to play out from the back. The wide players and midfielders create wide overloads when DUMFRIES and HENRIQUE push up. This allows the team to stretch the defence and find gaps through the lines.
