Legia aims to play a direct and vertical style of football through a 5-2-3 formation. This lineup is built to sit in a mid-block and hit opponents on the break. The team relies on compactness and quick transitions to move the ball from deep areas into the final third.

Strebinger guards the goal as the last line of defense. In front of him, the defensive unit operates as a back five. Sokołowski sits in the center to command the area and win headers. Jedrzejczyk acts as the right centre-back, providing cover and physical presence, while Rose plays as the left centre-back to defend the central zone. Johanson and Mladenovic provide width as attacking wing backs. Johanson pushes high up the flank to deliver crosses, while Mladenovic tracks back to help the defense when the team loses possession.

The midfield works as a double pivot to control the center of the pitch. Josue acts as the primary driver, using his passing range to find teammates and connect the defense to the attack. Kharatin operates alongside him to shield the back five and win the second ball. Together, they try to intercept passes and recycle possession to keep the game moving. This duo must stay disciplined to prevent the opposition from playing through the middle.

Legia uses three attackers to stretch the opposition defense. Pekhart acts as the target man, holding up the ball and winning aerial duels to bring others into play. Kastrati plays on the right wing, looking to cut inside and create chances, while Muci operates on the left to provide width and direct runs. The attackers press the opposition back line to force mistakes and turnovers. They often look to hit in behind on the transition to catch defenders out of position.

This formation offers significant strength through wide overloads. When Johanson and Mladenovic push forward, they create extra numbers on the flanks to overwhelm the opponent. The setup also provides great compactness when defending a lead, as the five defenders and two midfielders make it very hard to play through the center.
