Ramsdale acts as a lone striker to lead the line. The attack relies on Ramsdale to hold up the ball and wait for support. When Newcastle wins the ball, the team looks to hit in behind on the transition. Barnes and Elanga push high to provide crosses from wide areas. Ramsdale must pressure the opposition back line to force long balls. The team looks to use the width of the pitch to stretch the defence and create runs in behind for the wingers to exploit.
