Ekitike and Jones operate as a central partnership, with Ekitike acting as a target man to hold up the ball and Jones playing as a pressing centre-forward to hunt for turnovers. On the flanks, Ngumoha and Chiesa act as inverted wingers who cut inside to create central overloads. This movement allows the team to attack in combinations and create chances through quick passing in tight spaces.

One major advantage of this lineup is the ability to press high in coordinated waves. The four attackers can trigger a press that forces the opponent to play long balls, which the central defenders can then intercept.
