BEADLE acts as the lone goalkeeper behind a very narrow defensive line. The back two consist of KLARER and CASHIN, who must operate as ball playing central defenders to start attacks. The midfield works in a central block to control the tempo and connection between lines. TOMOKI and PAIK occupy the central roles, where they work to win the second ball and recycle possession. TOMOKI often drives forward with the ball to link with the attackers, while PAIK works to shield the two defenders. On the flanks, OSAYI-SAMUEL and COCHRANE act as wide midfielders who provide the necessary width to stretch the defence. They must track back to help the central defenders while also being ready to carry the ball forward into the final third.

Birmingham utilizes a heavy front line featuring four dedicated attackers. STANSFIELD and DUCKSCH operate as a central partnership, with STANSFIELD often acting as a pressing centre-forward to disrupt the opponent. GRAY and ROBERTS occupy the wide areas as wingers who look to cut inside and find the feet of the strikers. This front four is designed to press the opposition back line relentlessly, looking to win the ball high up the pitch to create immediate goal-scoring chances.

This formation offers significant tactical advantages through its ability to press high in coordinated waves.
