Eberechi Eze occupies the left side of the midfield to carry the ball forward and link the lines. Kai Havertz plays in the hole as an attacking ten behind the strikers to connect the midfield to the front line. These players aim to press in a mid-block and ensure they stay close together to prevent the opposition from playing through the lines.

Arsenal utilizes two forwards in a partnership to stretch the defence. Gabriel Martinelli plays as a left striker, often looking to run in behind or cut inside to find goal scoring opportunities.
