Starting Lineup

Jared · Cooper · Edwin · Trevor · Marcos · Uziel · Eric · Joel · Black marcos · Alex · Jeremiah

Liverpool focuses on a high press and rapid transitions using a 4-3-3 formation. This lineup aims to win the ball back high up the pitch to catch the opposition before they can organize. The goal is to use verticality to break lines quickly and keep the opposition pinned in their own half.

Alex stays between the posts to act as the last line of defense. The back four works as a zonal line with Jeremiah at right back and Uziel at left back. Both Jeremiah and Uziel are expected to push up to provide width, while Joel and Eric act as the central defensive pairing. Joel handles the right side of the defense, and Eric covers the left. These two must stay compact to protect the center and sweep behind the high line when the team presses.

The midfield operates with a three-man midfield featuring a central presence and two runners. Black marcos and Marcos occupy the central roles to control the tempo and connect the defense to the attack. Trevor plays as an attacking ten in the hole behind the striker to find space between the lines. Black marcos and Marcos work to press aggressively to win the ball back in a mid-block, while Trevor looks to receive on the half-turn to drive the team forward.

Up front, Liverpool utilizes three attackers across the front to stretch the defense. Cooper plays as an inverted winger on the left to cut inside and find shooting lanes, while Edwin operates on the right wing to pull the opposition wide. Jared acts as the central striker to lead the press from the front and hold up the ball for others. This front three works in combinations to create runs in behind, often looking for cutbacks from the byline or through balls to exploit the space created by the wingers.

This formation offers several tactical advantages for Liverpool. The team can create wide overloads when Jeremiah and Edwin combine on the right or when Uziel and Cooper push forward on the left. By using a high press, the team can win the ball high up the pitch and launch immediate attacks. The presence of Trevor in the hole also allows the team to achieve numerical superiority in the attacking third.

The 4-3-3 formation is built for high intensity and quick attacking movements. This lineup is best suited for facing teams that play a high defensive line or struggle to play out from the back.
