Sporting CP aims to dominate through a direct and high attacking intent using a 4-2-4. This formation is built to stretch the opposition and create constant danger in the final third by committing many players forward. The lineup focuses on heavy pressure and rapid transitions to catch opponents out of position.

Руй Силва operates between the posts to organize the defensive unit. The back line functions as a flat back four where Ваяннидис and Мангаш provide width.
