Bodø/Glimt prefers to play a high press with a vertical style of football, operating in a 4-3-3 formation. This lineup is built to win the ball back high up the pitch and move quickly toward the goal. The team seeks to use the width of the pitch to stretch the opposition and create space for runners in the middle.

Хайкин plays in goal to command the area and start attacks. The back line works as a flat back four where Шевольд acts as an attacking full back to provide width. Бьеркан also pushes forward on the left to overlap the winger, while Гундерсен and Бьертуфт form the central pair. Гундерсен and Бьертуфт must hold the line and step up to squeeze the space when the team presses. They work to keep the defensive unit compact to prevent any through balls.

The midfield functions as a three-man midfield with a carrier and a defensive anchor. Берг sits in front of the back four to shield the defence and recycle possession. Эвьен and Эукленд act as the two central midfielders who drive forward with the ball and connect the defensive and attacking lines. Эвьен and Эукленд are tasked to press aggressively to win the ball high and find the feet of the striker. This trio works together to control the center of the pitch and win the second ball.

In the attacking third, the team utilizes three attackers across the front. Хег acts as a pressing centre-forward to lead the line and pin the last defender. Хеуге and Йоргенсен operate as wide wingers who hug the touchline to pull the opposition defenders apart. These wingers often cut inside to create chances or look to get to the byline to deliver a cross. The movement of the front three is designed to create runs in behind and allow the midfielders to arrive late into the box.

Bodø/Glimt gains a significant advantage through their ability to press high in coordinated waves. By squeezing the space between the lines, they create many turnovers in dangerous areas. The team also benefits from wide overloads when Шевольд and Бьеркан push up to support the wingers. This creates a numerical advantage on the flanks that is difficult to defend.

This 4-3-3 formation relies on intense pressing and quick transitions to overwhelm the opposition. It is best suited for games against teams that struggle to play out from the back under heavy pressure.
