Galatasaray aims to control the tempo through heavy possession and a high press using a 4-3-3. This formation is built to dominate the ball in the middle third and squeeze the space high up the pitch. By playing with a high line, the team looks to win the ball back quickly to launch immediate attacks.

The defensive unit starts with Чакыр in goal to sweep behind the high line. A flat back four provides the base, with Синго acting as an attacking full back to provide width on the right. Эльмали plays a more balanced role on the left to cover the space behind the winger. In the center, Санчес uses his aerial strength and physicality to defend, while Бардакджи acts as a ball playing defender to help play out from the back. This unit works to keep the distance between the defense and midfield tight.

The midfield functions with a single pivot role occupied by Торрейра to shield the defense and win the second ball. Ahead of him, Гюндоган operates as a deep lying playmaker with a vast passing range to progress through the thirds. Sara acts as an inverted eight, making late runs into the box and connecting the lines. This three man midfield is designed to recycle possession and move the ball quickly between the lines to find openings.

In the final third, Galatasaray uses three attackers to stretch the opposition defense. Осимхен plays as a pressing centre forward who looks to win the header and find the feet of his teammates. On the flanks, Сане acts as an inverted winger who cuts inside to create goal scoring chances, while Акгюн stays wide to provide crosses and pull the defense apart. This combination allows the team to attack in transitions or build play through short passes in tight spaces.

One major advantage for Galatasaray is the numerical superiority in midfield, which allows them to control the game. The team also benefits from wide overloads when Синго overlaps the winger to create two on one situations. Their ability to press in coordinated waves makes it difficult for opponents to build out from the back.

This 4-3-3 formation is built to dominate possession and pin the opposition in their own half. It is best suited for games against low block teams where breaking down a compact defense is required.
