Union SG relies on a high press and verticality through a 3-5-2. This formation is built to win the ball high up the pitch and move forward with speed to catch the opposition out of position. The team aims to dominate the central areas of the pitch while using the wide channels to stretch the play.

In the final third, Union SG employs two forwards in a partnership to pin the last defender.
