Jeremy Doku acts as an inverted eight, driving forward with the ball to create chaos and pull defenders out of position.

Belgium utilizes a lone striker in Romelu Lukaku to lead the line. Lukaku acts as a target man, able to hold up the ball and bring the advancing midfielders into the game. The attacking unit relies on the creativity of De Bruyne and Trossard to feed the striker, while Doku and the wide players look to exploit one on one situations. When the team loses the ball, the forwards press from the front to force a long ball from the opposition.

This formation offers significant strength through numerical superiority in the middle of the park. The presence of Tielemans and Vanaken allows the team to control the tempo and defend the central zone effectively. Belgium can also use the speed of transition to catch opponents off guard, moving from a mid block to a direct attack in seconds.
