Starting Lineup

Daniele · Bernabéu · Baldi · Ocampo · Heredia · Hernándes · Lucco · Tulián · Zelarayán · Melano · Velázquez

Belgrano focuses on a high press and rapid verticality through a 3-4-3 formation. This lineup is built to win the ball high up the pitch and quickly move it toward the final third. The team looks to catch opponents out of position by using aggressive movement and direct passing.

Daniele stays between the posts to organize the defense from the back. The back line consists of a back three with Bernabéu as the right centre back, Ocampo as the left centre back, and Baldi acting as the central defender. Bernabéu and Ocampo provide cover for each other, while Baldi stays central to manage the space. This defensive unit functions by maintaining a high line to squeeze the space and keeping the distance between the defenders and the midfield small.

The midfield operates with a central core to control the middle of the pitch. Heredia acts as the single pivot to shield the defense and recycle possession. Zelarayán and Hernándes play as two central midfielders who connect the defensive and attacking lines. Lucco provides extra support in the middle to help compress the midfield and win the second ball. Zelarayán looks to drive forward with the ball while Hernándes helps to press in a mid-block when the team loses possession.

In the final third, Belgrano uses three attackers to stretch the defense. Melano acts as the lone striker to hold up the ball and pin the last defender. Velázquez plays on the left as an inverted winger to cut inside and create space for the wide areas. Tulián operates on the right wing to provide width and look for chances to deliver early crosses. The forwards press from the front to force a long ball from the opposition, allowing the defenders to win the ball back.

This formation provides Belgrano with significant tactical advantages through its pressing intensity. The team can use the front three to trigger a press in coordinated waves, making it hard for opponents to play out from the back. There is also the potential for wide overloads as the midfielders push higher to support the wingers. The compactness when defending in a mid-block makes it difficult for the opposition to find passing lanes through the center.

The 3-4-3 lineup relies on aggressive pressing and quick transitions to dominate games. This formation is best suited for matches where the team can exploit space behind a high defensive line.
