JOSEP stays between the posts to organize the back line. Inter uses a back three that can shift as the game progresses. BASTONI operates as the left centre-back, using his ability to carry the ball forward and play long passes. DE VRIJ provides experience in the middle of the trio, acting as a ball playing defender who can read the game to intercept passes. AKANJI or BISSECK takes the right centre-back role to provide aerial strength and cover the space behind the midfield. This defensive unit works as a compact block to deny runners through the center.

The midfield functions as a central engine room where BARELLA acts as the primary driver to win the second ball and press aggressively. SUCIC works in the left half-space to link the defensive line to the attack, while DUMFRIES operates in the right central role to drive forward with power. DIMARCO moves into an advanced position to provide width and create chances from the left flank. This midfield setup aims to squeeze the space in the middle and ensure the team can transition from defense to attack with high intensity.

The attacking line utilizes three players to stretch the defense. M.THURAM plays on the left as an inverted winger who likes to cut inside to create shooting opportunities.
