Nevistic guards the goal while Torrente and McKenna operate as a two man central defensive line. Because there are only two defenders, they must maintain a high line to squeeze the space and prevent the opposition from playing through the lines. Torrente and McKenna act as ball playing defenders who try to play short from the back to start the attack. They must be fast to cover the wide areas when the midfield pushes forward.

In the middle of the pitch, Pierre acts as a single pivot to shield the defense and protect the two center backs. Vinlöf and Bennacer occupy the central spaces to drive forward with the ball and connect the defensive and attacking lines. D. Ljubicic plays as an attacking ten who finds the spaces between the lines to create chances. This midfield unit must work hard to win the second ball and recycle possession quickly to keep the pressure on.

The attacking unit uses four players to stretch the defense and pin the last defender. Beljo and Kulenovic lead the line as a two man partnership, with both players ready to press the opposition back line.
