Dali/Gilles and Cedric/Gilles push into advanced positions to create numbers in the final third, while also helping to press in a mid-block to win the ball back.

The front line uses three attackers to stretch the defense. Sjors acts as a central striker to hold up the ball and pin the last defender. Maxie plays on the left as an inverted winger to cut inside and find space, while Evert operates on the right to provide width and deliver crosses. These attackers work to pull wide and stretch the defense, creating gaps for Sjors to exploit. The front three work to press the opposition back line from the front, looking to win the ball back and break quickly.

The main advantage of this formation is the heavy numerical superiority in the midfield. Having five players in the middle allows the team to compress the midfield and win the second ball frequently. Another strength is the ability to press high in coordinated waves, as the front three and the attacking midfielders can trigger a press together. This lineup makes it difficult for opponents to play out from the back without making a mistake.
