Racing Club relies on a high press and quick transitions using a 3-5-2 formation. This lineup is built to win the ball back high up the pitch and strike fast before the opposition can settle. The team looks to use the central area to control the tempo and overwhelm opponents in the middle of the park.

G. Árias starts between the posts to manage the defensive line. The back three consists of M. Di Cesare, S. Sosa, and M. Rojo. M. Di Cesare and M. Rojo act as wide centre-backs who can cover the channels when the wingbacks push forward. S. Sosa stays central to anchor the defense, using his aerial strength to win headers. This unit works together to maintain a high line and squeeze the space between the lines.

A busy midfield unit provides the engine for Racing Club. J. Brunetta operates as the attacking ten behind the strikers, looking to find pockets of space. In front of him, Almendra and J. Nardoni form a central pairing to control the ball and connect the defense to the attack. Almendra works to recycle possession, while J. Nardoni looks to drive forward with the ball. On the flanks, Martina and G. Rojas provide the width, acting as wingbacks who must track back to help the defense and then charge forward to support the attack.

The attacking force uses two forwards in a partnership to stretch the defense. D. Vergara and M. Martínez lead the line, often working in combinations to pull defenders out of position. They press the opposition back line to force mistakes and long balls. M. Martínez looks to hold up the ball for others, while D. Vergara makes runs in behind to exploit gaps. The wide players, Martina and G. Rojas, add even more pressure by delivering crosses into the box when they get to the byline.

This formation offers several tactical advantages. Racing Club can create numerical superiority in midfield through the movement of J. Brunetta and the central pairing. The team can also use wide overloads when Martina and G. Rojas overlap the strikers. This allows the team to attack in waves and keep the opponent pinned in their own half.

The 3-5-2 formation gives Racing Club a strong presence in the middle and the flanks. It is best suited for matches where the team needs to dominate possession or hit opponents on the transition.
