Ríos works to carry the ball forward and drive through the middle, while Barrenechea looks to recycle possession and connect the defensive and attacking lines. This duo must pick up runners and cover the gaps left when the full backs push up to provide width.

The front line uses two forwards in a partnership to lead the press. Pavlidis and Sudakov operate together in the center, with Sudakov using his passing range to split the defense and find the feet of his teammates. Andreas Schjelderup stays wide on the left as an inverted winger to cut inside, while Dodi Lukebakio stays on the right to stretch the defense.
